Abstract

Overactive bladder syndrome (OAB) is one of the most common functional lower urinary tract disorders and is characterized by a significant impact on quality of life, sleep, social activity, and work capacity. In recent years, the concept of OAB treatment has undergone significant changes. The traditional stepwise model, based on a sequential transition from behavioral therapy to pharmacotherapy and then to invasive methods, is gradually being transformed into an individualized strategy that takes into account the clinical phenotype, age, comorbidities, cognitive risks, treatment adherence, and patient preferences.
