Abstract

This article examines the major environmental challenges facing Central Asia in the near future and analyzes their causes, consequences, and possible solutions. Particular attention is given to climate change, water scarcity, desertification, biodiversity loss, air pollution, and the ecological consequences of the Aral Sea crisis. The study highlights the growing impact of anthropogenic factors and unsustainable use of natural resources on regional ecosystems and socio-economic development. The article also discusses the importance of regional cooperation, environmental governance, and the implementation of sustainable development strategies to address emerging ecological threats. The findings indicate that ensuring environmental security in Central Asia requires coordinated actions, innovative technologies, and effective environmental policies at both national and regional levels.
