This article provides a scientific analysis of the role and influence of psychological defense mechanisms in the socialization process of adolescents with deviant behavior. The study was conducted on a group of adolescents aged 12–17 and demonstrates, based on empirical data, how defense mechanisms such as denial, projection, rationalization, reaction formation, and sublimation affect social adaptation. The results indicate that immature defense mechanisms exacerbate social maladaptation, whereas mature mechanisms support social integration. The article concludes with recommendations aimed at psychoprophylaxis and psychocorrection practice.
