Abstract

This article investigates the state of biodiversity of honey-juicy plants distributed in the steppe zone of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, their honey production potential and current problems of storage. The study was carried out on the basis of field observations and laboratory analyses conducted during 2019–2024. In Ustyurt, Kyzylkum and the Aral Sea regions, 163 species of honey-medicinal plants have been identified, of which 62 species require protection. Recommendations on environmental threats and protection measures have been developed.
