Abstract

This research includes the beauty of the poetic image in the poetry of Abu Nuwas, and all the patterns of poetic images that he addressed in his poetry during the Abbasid era, and the development of his poetry in the field, and the introduction of the aesthetics of rhetoric into his poetry and the wine poems that distinguished his poetry. Poetic imagery in Abu Nuwas is distinctive with its innovation, sensuality, and inclination towards urban imagery, he shifted the image from traditional subjects (such as standing among ruins) to depictions of wine, revelry, and nature, employing eloquent similes and vibrant colors drawn from the Abbasid-Persian environment. His imagery is distinguished by its precision in conveying details of movement and color, such as comparing wine to rubies and the cup to pearls. He makes the artistic image a tool for highlighting, and just as the aesthetics of the poetic image are the artistic foundation of the poem, transforming ideas and feelings into vivid, sensory tableaux through imagination, condensation, and metaphorical language. Its beauty is manifested in its departure from the familiar. Poets tended towards refined language, generating profound meanings, and innovating in themes and subjects such as describing nature and entertainment gatherings, in addition to developing praise and elegy, and the emergence of philosophical and wisdom poetry. Count the poetic image The best tool for approaching poetic texts, penetrating the poet's world, and opening up to its spaces. Poetry, as a vessel for imagery, is a significant influence in artistically reshaping reality. Perhaps the poetic image is the best means of entering the sanctuary of poetry and revealing the secrets of its beauty, and this is what we wanted to address in this article, especially in the work of a poet who spent most of his life in the company of kings. Abu Nuwas's poetic imagery was characterized by a blend of sensuality, innovation, and a civilizational renewal tendency, as he transformed abstract meanings into visible and tangible images .Its aesthetic relied on precise description, metaphorical figures (especially in wine), and the use of rhetorical devices and alliteration .This made his artistic images a mirror of the luxurious and civilized life of the Abbasid era For Abu Nuwas's the poetic image is the "beating heart" of his poetry, as he sees it as his primary mechanism for expression and influencing the reader's emotions.
