Abstract

The digitalization of higher education contributes to changing traditional approaches to teaching foreign languages and creates new opportunities for the development of students' communicative competence. The use of digital educational platforms in teaching German allows for interactivity, individualization of learning and the expansion of language practice outside the classroom. The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of digital educational platforms on the formation of students' communicative competence when learning German. The study used the methods of pedagogical observation, analysis of educational activities, questionnaires and comparative assessment of learning outcomes. Evidence shows the positive impact of digital tools on the development of writing, speaking, and communication skills.
