This article analyzes the pedagogical possibilities of using digital technologies in developing students' independent learning activities during geography lessons. Methodological factors hindering students' independent learning are highlighted, and the importance of digital educational resources, interactive electronic tasks, and multimedia tools in overcoming them is substantiated.
